Simple Slideshow allows on to rotate a number of images within a Joomla article. Instead of displaying the images sequentially, Simple Slideshow uses dynamic HTML and CSS to display one image at a time, fading one out before fading another in. To use Simple Slideshow you must be using PHP5 and recent releases of Joomla 1.5. Simple Slideshow will not work on PHP4 or any version of Joomla 1.0.

Simple Slideshow is distributed as a commercial Joomla extension. Some of the PHP code is licensed under the GPL. Other parts of the extension, including the JavaScript code, are propriety code and cannot be redistributed without the explicit permission of GMITC.

Do I have to purchase a license for Simple Slideshow for every site that I own?

No. Once you have purchased a subscription to Simple Slideshow, you may deploy it onto any Joomla site as long as you or your organization owns the domain. For example, if you have two Joomla sites for domains that you own, then you can deploy it twice.

Do I have to purchase a license for Simple Slideshow for a site that I make for others?

Probably yes. If you do not own the registration for the domain, then you or the owners need to purchase a license.

Can I download updates to Simple Slideshow?

Yes, you can download updates for one year after the initial purchase. After this time you will need to purchase an additional license to download or use updates. The number of downloads that you make of a given file is not unlimited, however.

Can I modify the code?

Yes, please do. Just be aware that you cannot redistribute the non-GPL code.
