PageBreak2 is a replacement for the standard Joomla Pagebreak feature. Instead of breaking an article into several individual pages, PageBreak2 renders all of the article pages once, letting the user flip through specific pages using a menu and dynamic HTML. The pages are smoothly transitioned in and out, and the user doesn’t have to wait for new pages to be returned by the server. To can explore how PageBreak2 works, start by clicking on the navigation buttons to the right. PageBreak2 works like the standard Joomla Pagebreak – you do not need to perform any special editing to formatting of your articles for it to work. The plugin also supports several configuration settings to alter the behavior of the pages, including the transition speed and the rendering of headings. To use PageBreak2 you must be using PHP5 and recent releases of Joomla 1.5. PageBreak2 will not work on PHP4 or any version of Joomla 1.0. PageBreak2 will add eloquence and distinction to your site. Once you purchase a license and register the product, you can download all updates for one year. What a deal!

For example, if you have two Joomla sites for domains that you own, then you can deploy it twice. Do I have to purchase a license for PageBreak2 for a site that I make for others?Probably yes. If you do not own the registration for the domain, then you or the owners need to purchase a license. Can I download updates to PageBreak2?Yes, you can download updates for one year after the initial purchase. After this time you will need to purchase an additional license to download or use updates. The number of downloads that you make of a given file is not unlimited, however. Can I modify the code?Yes, please do. Just be aware that you cannot redistribute the non-GPL code. How Do I Modify the JavaScript or Style Sheets Used by PageBreak2The media files used by PageBreak2 are located in J/media/pagebreak2, where J represents your Joomla installation directory. Instead of modifying the original files, you should copy the file you wish to change and then edit this new file. When finished, select the new file using the plugin parameters. I've Installed PageBreak2 and It Doesn't Seem to Work. What Should I Do?The first step in solving this problem is to validate the HTML. Most users reporting problems with PageBreak2 have problems with the article's HTML. When the browser loads the page, it is unable to properly parse the HTML and PageBreak2 cannot transition pages in and out. Starting in PageBreak2 1.1, you can enable a link to the HTML Validator via the plugin parameters. |
