Welcome to the official demo of Logos Query Manager. This site will be updated as new versions of Joomla and LQM become available. The version of LQM used in this demo is LQM 2.0 . This site is running Joomla 1.5.1 . About Logos Query Manager Logos Query Manager is a tool that helps you integrate data resources into your Joomla website. Documentation for Logos Query Manager can be found on the GMITC website in the LQM Documentation area . The Demonstration Queries The first demo is a search query that allows the user to search an e-commerce database for product information. This query demonstrates LQM's ability to load results using AJAX, to present the results using a grid application, and to filter the results using client-side controls. It also demonstrates LQM's ability to format data, such as creating links to other queries. The second demo is another search query that displays information about specific orders. This query can be accessed from the menu directly, as a query embedded inside a Joomla article, or from the first demo query which builds a link to this one. The third demo exemplifies how LQM can be integrated with other software packages, such as this graphing application made by InfoSoft . The JavaScript used to load the graph is defined in a PHP file that is associated with the query and included by the template. One can also associate langague, style, javascript, and code files with individual queries or groups of queries without any need to edit the templates. The fourth and final demo shows that LQM can also be loaded into a module position and appear anyplace on the page. Additional Information Logos Query Manager works with many SQL query types, including INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE queries. It can also work with non-SQL queries such as XPath and XQuery although these latter types are currently under development and not supported in RC1. If you have any questions about Logos Query Manager, or if you wish to provide feedback, please do so on the GMITC forum . |
