LQM 2.1 is Available Print E-mail

Logos Query Manager 2.1 is available for download to those who have purchased LQM. This release offers some very useful features including the following:

  • Caching of Query Results;
  • File Input Variable;
  • Input Disabled Attribute;
  • Data Range Slider.
The most notable new feature is LQM's ability to cache query results, resulting in less strain on the database.  This improvement also addresses usage of the Multiple Query Execution (MQE) feature when the grid is employed as well.  More information about these these and other changes can be found here.

LQM 2.0 Available for Download Print E-mail
LQM 2.0 is officially released.  Here is a quick list of new features.
  • Multiple Query Execution — It is now possible to execute multiple SQL queries within a single LQM query.
  • Logic Variable Templates — The new templates gives more control how to style groups of variables, including a new tabbed interface.
  • New Log and News Views — The new views give administrators direct access to the LQM logs and news related to LQM.
  • New options to pass data and open windows — The next and link output variable types now support additional attributes to generate links.
  • Improvements to the LQM Module — The module can be used to produce a list of queries for an application.
  • Improvements to the Content Plugin — One can now include multiple LQM queries within a single Joomla article.
  • Better Integration — It is now possible to have multiple LQM queries on a page, including in a single content item.

There are also some minor changes made in this release that could affect queries created in LQM 1.x.
  • The keep attribute of logic variables has been renamed to required and now defaults to no, meaning that by default they are removed from the quey code when input for enclosed variables has been been provided.
  • The name of various style related attributes have been standardized. The new attributes are class, style, descclass, descstyle, titleclass, and titlestyle, and are available for all variable types that can use these attributes.
  • In order to submit HTML input a new raw attribute must be enabled.
Those who have purchased and registered LQM can download the new release via the Updates page.

J2SMF 1.0 RC4 Released Print E-mail

A new version of the Joomla2SMF bridge is now available for download. This is a free, GPL component - no need to buy. In addition to some minor bug fixes and performance tweaks this version offers better support for Joomla in SEO mode.  Please don't forget to review the System Requirements before using this component.

LQM 2.0 RC3 Available for Download Print E-mail

The third and hopefully final release candidate for LQM 2.0 is available to those who have purchased LQM. Go to My Stuff on the gmitc website and download the update. One can also download the new Users Manual here.

Please note when upgrading to RC3 you may note that some form elements do not display.  The solution is to open and save the query in the administrative interface.  This problem results from a small change in how LQM parses a query when it is saved, which in turn affects how the form is rendered.

This release candidate, RC3, should be the last release candidate before the final release of LQM 2.0 . The major task that needs to be completed before a formal release is a review of the LQM Users Manual to fix any typos or correct incomplete information.  Of course people may report problems that will require fixes and another release candidate.  My goal is to release LQM 2.0 bug-free and your feedback is always appreciated.
